研究领域:

药用植物天然产物的化学生物学与合成生物学

研究兴趣与方向:

以中草药和微生物来源天然产物为基础,研制和开发新药一直是国际化学界和医药界共同关注的重点领域。天然产物的生物合成是以小分子的简单化合物作为底物,经过一系列顺序催化反应,最终形成复杂化学结构的过程。本人的研究兴趣在于通过代谢工程和组合生物合成研究植物和微生物来源的复杂天然产物的生物合成,即利用基因工程技术,有目的地对细胞代谢途径进行精确的修饰或改造,以提高目的天然产物活性或产量、或合成新的代谢产物;或是通过操纵天然产物生物合成途径中的基因来产生非天然的天然产物类似物库,并从中发现和发展更具应用价值的药物。
